The 2017 Southern Living Idea House on Bald Head Island, North Carolina, is the perfect getaway. Its laid-back, coastal vibes make it look and feel like a dream, and Overhead Door got to be involved in bringing this dream to life.

The two custom Mahogany wood finished doors (pictured here) were installed on the front of the Idea House by Overhead Door’s Red Ribbon Distributor, Overhead Door of Wilmington. The doors not only function as eye candy, but they’re also used to shelter golf carts, as no cars are allowed on the exclusive island.

The Mahogany wood harmonizes perfectly with the rest of the four-bedroom, four and a half-bath, 3,281-square foot home, which showcases the latest residential design ideas and style tips.

“Exceptional quality and tradition are hallmarks of both Southern Living and Overhead Door. The 2017 Idea House highlights the best of both,” said Heather Meiner, Brand Manager of Overhead Door (Press Release).

Located two miles off the coast of North Carolina, the 2017 Southern Living Idea House stays true to traditional Southern style with its large wrap-around porch made for entertaining and a private garden off the master bedroom.
